At Balboa Spa Tech Services, we prioritise the performance, safety, and longevity of your spa. Booking a technician is simple — and it’s the first step toward a healthier, hassle-free spa experience.

When you book a service, one of our qualified technicians will attend your property to conduct a thorough inspection.

 

This includes checking pumps, heaters, sensors, and your display system, as well as inspecting for leaks or underlying faults.

If any replacement parts are needed, we’ll collect all the necessary information on-site to source the correct components quickly and efficiently.

Best of all, if parts are ordered through us, removal and installation are included in the original diagnostic fee — no hidden costs.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Balboa Spa Tech Services for spa equipment installation, maintenance, or repair, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Payment for any service constitutes your acceptance of these terms.

2. Non-Refundable Parts Policy

All parts installed by Balboa Spa Tech Services are non-refundable once installed. No exceptions will be made.

 

3. Manufacturer Warranty Only

We do not provide any warranty on parts beyond what is offered by the original manufacturer.

  • Faulty parts must be tested and confirmed as defective by the manufacturer.

  • If approved, refunds or replacements are subject up to a 25% restocking fee.

  • All manufacturer warranty claims are subject to the manufacturer’s own terms, timelines, and policies. We are not responsible for delays or outcomes beyond our control.

 

4. 12-Month Workmanship Warranty

We provide a 12-month warranty on our installation and repair services, covering defects due to workmanship.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Pre-existing spa system issues

  • Improper maintenance or misuse

  • Damage caused by external factors or other trades

Claims must be reported within the 12-month period and are assessed at our discretion.

 

5. Diagnostic Services

All spa diagnostic services are non-refundable.
A diagnostic does not obligate you to proceed with further work.

6. Spa Operation Disclaimer

Installation of new parts does not guarantee the overall operation of the spa.
Other pre-existing issues may affect functionality, which are not covered under our service or liability.

7. Electrical Work & Other Trades

Electrical work outside our licensing scope (as per AS/NZ 3000 Standards) must be completed by a licensed electrician.

We are not responsible for:

  • The work or reliability of third-party trades (electricians, plumbers, builders, etc.)

  • Organising third-party services on your behalf

It is the customer's responsibility to arrange and engage appropriate professionals when required.

 

8. Payments and Orders

  • Full payment is required before any parts are ordered.

  • Installation is included only if a spa diagnostic service was booked in advance.

  • Payment confirms your agreement to these terms and conditions.

  • Please note: We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases

9.1. Limitation of Liability – Third-Party Installers and Theft 

Balboa Spa Tech Services is not liable for any loss, damage, or theft of parts or equipment purchased by the customer through Balboa Spa Tech Services, that are installed or preparing to be installed by independent contractors, sub-contractors, volunteers or employees. In the event of theft or failure to complete work, responsibility lies solely with the individual involved. If an incident occurs, affected customers will be notified and a police report will be filed. Balboa Spa Tech Services will cooperate fully with authorities but does not assume financial or legal responsibility for the actions of third parties. In the event of a dispute or legal claim, Balboa Spa Tech Services will provide the full legal name of the individual responsible for the relevant services, where required by law, to support any insurance, civil, or criminal proceedings initiated by the client against the individual identified as responsible.

 

9.2. Limitation of Liability 

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to any part or service.

We are not responsible for:

  • Manufacturer defects

  • Water damage from spa leaks

  • Issues resulting from pre-existing faults

  • Any component failure after installation

Our maximum liability is limited to the cost of the service or part provided.

Customers are responsible for maintaining their spa area, identifying leaks, and addressing water damage risks.

 

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time.
Significant changes will be communicated before taking effect.

 

11. Abuse and Harassment Policy

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any abuse, threats, harassment, or mistreatment directed toward our staff.

This includes:

  • Verbal or physical abuse

  • Intimidation or discriminatory behavior

  • Any action that makes our team feel unsafe or disrespected

       If such behavior occurs:

  • We may cancel all current or future services immediately

  • No refunds will be issued

  • Legal action may be pursued

Please treat all staff with respect and professionalism.

 

12. Orders, Refunds & Restocking Fees

Once payment is received, we will proceed to order the required parts.                                                 

  • Parts are non-refundable once ordered unless the supplier accepts a return.

  • A 15% restocking fee will apply to all approved returns.

  • Refunds are typically processed at the end of the following business month after parts are assessed by our team and supplier.

  • We are not responsible for delays from suppliers or manufacturers.

 

13. Installation Disclaimer

Installations attempted under our diagnostic service are not guaranteed and do not include a separate charge.

If installation proves too complex or outside our capabilities:

  • The customer must arrange installation through an external service provider.

  • No refunds will be issued for parts if installation cannot be completed.

We recommend confirming your ability to access suitable installation services before placing an order.
